Guideline Groups

WFH Guidelines for the Management of Hemophilia are developed and maintained through a collaborative, multi-stakeholder process. Below are the key groups involved in this work.

Guidelines Oversight Committee (GOC)

The GOC is an independent body that ensures the integrity of the guideline development process. It oversees compliance with methodological standards, reviews conflicts of interest disclosures from expert panels, and assigns terms of management based on those disclosures.

Methodology Team

WFH Guideline Staff

The WFH Guidelines staff coordinate the day-to-day activities of the living guidelines. This includes scheduling meetings, managing documents and communications, tracking progress across guideline groups, supporting the public review process, and maintaining transparency across all stages of the guideline development process.

Guidelines Steering Committee (SC)

The SC provides overall strategic direction for the guidelines.
This includes selecting topics for development or update and identifying panel members.

Guideline Development Process

  1. Topic selection by the Steering Committee
  2. Panel formation, ensuring representation from clinicians, patients, and other stakeholders.
  3. COI disclosures, reviews, and terms of management (TOMs) (where appropriate).
  4. Evidence review and synthesis led by the methodology team.
  5. Drafting of recommendations through structured discussion and expert consensus
  6. External review via public comment and targeted peer feedback
  7. Publication and dissemination on WFH website and eLearning platform
  8. Ongoing monitoring to determine when updates are needed
